Today’s guest is passionate about art. She is the chief executive officer (CEO) of the world famous and non-for-profit organisation Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras. Meet Terese Casu.
Terese is a performing artist. For her creativity is everything – she’s done circus, theatre, dance and a lot more before moving into management. She uses this prowess to lead the celebration of inclusion, diversity and acceptance.

Now, she is the CEO of Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras, an organisation which champions acceptance and social justice, by actively supporting LGBTIQ+ community. It is also Australia’s biggest glitter-filled tourist drawcards generating an annual income of about $30 million for NSW.

Getting to this point was nothing but easy, Terese shares her story and how she managed to deal with her biggest life challenges including navigating bureaucracy. As she ponders the next chapter for Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras, she also offers a tour of the beautiful community that is LGBTQI.
